One of the best things about working as a photography instructor at MOCA is that there are always so many awesome events taking place at the museum and I have the opportunity to be very involved in all the going’s on!
Last week (March 9), the Museum of Contemporary Art in Virginia Beach opened it’s doors for Teen takeover at MOCA . Staff, volunteers and area teens came together to put on an evening extravaganza of art, music, and more. Inspired by MOCA’s current exhibits, the event featured screen printing for clothing that was brought in, loud as you can sing karaoke, snacks and “mock-tails”, a kick awesome photo booth (manned by yours truly!), and much more! It was an amazing event, and the kids were so much fun! Even before the official start time, everyone was amped up and ready to let the fun begin!
