When Should We Schedule Our Session?
Currently we are booking 3-4 weeks out, so as soon as you know you want to take some pictures, let’s start planning a rockin session! We recommend scheduling your portrait session for a weekday, Monday through Thursday. The reason for this is that any location we choose to take pictures at will be much less crowded on a weekday.
If you are interested in doing a weekend session, we do take on a limited number of Friday/Saturday/Sunday sessions, and an additional fee will apply.
We Aren’t Photogenic – Can You Help?!
We’ve heard that from so many people, and honestly, we don’t believe it’s true at all! You just haven’t had the right portrait experience yet, and we are here to help guide you every step of the way.
We specialize in bringing laughter, joy and FUN no matter what (or who) we are taking pictures of. Through our easy style of shooting and natural, fun poses, we make sure you have a blast during the session!
How Do We Reserve Our Date?
We just need the retainer and signed contract to reserve your date and time, then we will be ready to rock and roll!
Where to Shoot
If you can give us an idea of what type of setting you are interested in, we can show you samples of sessions that we’ve done in that location.
Here are a few options to get your gears going:
- Uptown City (historic neighborhood, rooftop views, etc)
- Urban (colorful murals, city streets, graffiti, etc.)
- Natural / Organic (woodsy, open fields, lakes, etc.)
- Beachy (under the pier, sea grass, dunes, etc)
- Garden (parks, gardens, etc.)
- Vineyard/Brewery (winery, local brewery, etc)
- Coffee Shop/Bookstore/Library
What if it rains?
That’s why God invented clear umbrellas! Seriously though, don’t let cloudy skies or a little rain put a damper on your session. Cloudy skies are actually the best for taking soft, evenly-lit portraits!
Bad weather is not a reason to cancel the session, unless the conditions could be damaging to clients or camera gear. If we do happen to have bad weather, we will just improvise and get a little creative. That could mean getting under a shelter or finding another alternative location to capture your memories.
Do You Offer Destination Sessions/Weddings?
Heck yeah we do! While Judith & Eric are based out of Virginia Beach, we love serving clients all around the world! Travel costs are dependent on the location but typically include airfare, hotel and transporta
