When it comes to running your small business, it’s easy to feel a bit overwhelmed. All you have to do is take a quick glance at your never ending to-do list and the discouragement starts because there are SO many tasks to get to! So many things that you haven’t done yet – even though you have every intention of getting to each one of those items! You could very easily let the guilt monster ruin your day.
Or, you could choose to take a step back and focus on things you HAVE done.
Don’t Let the Guilt Monster Ruin Your Day!
When was the last time you made a list of your accomplishments? One surefire way to feel like a rockstar right this second is to acknowledge the awesome things that you’ve been doing!
This has a two sided effect: not only will it keep your brain thinking positive thoughts about your business (and beyond!), that will get you motivated to want to be even more kick-awesome, making you think even more positive thoughts… (See where I’m going with this?).
Make a List, Check it Twice (or more often if necessary!)
Stop what you’re doing right now (no seriously, right now!) and make a list of 5 things you are proud to have accomplished in your business. Whether it’s celebrating the fact that you stuck to your guns about keeping set business hours, or that you sat down and went through all those images from your last session… take time to document your successes, because they are an important part of the journey!
Do this once a week (or at least once a month), so you can see a visual reminder of all the great things that YOU are making happen!
