New Year’s resolutions are out, but 2024 business goals for photographers are so in!
I’ve talked about before the fact that I don’t believe in resolutions because they rarely last.
However, goals are awesome, and we can plan a strategy to get there and achieve them!
It has been scientifically proven that in writing down your goals, we are 42% more likely to achieve them!
No seriously – check it out.
This goals list is one that will most likely evolve and change over 2024, but (if nothing else) it gives me a jumping off point.

2024 Business Goals for Photographers
- Travel – we’ve already got a bunch of places on the agenda for this year, but are always looking for more! If you want us to come take photos wherever you are – contact us and let’s make it happen 🙂
- Sell Unused Gear (lots of nice lenses that are just collecting dust because I upgraded to mirrorless!)
- Host Photography Get-Togethers (aiming for one per quarter)
- Start Teaching Photography Classes at Hermitage Museum
- Block Scheduling – As much as possible, schedule work/meetings Tuesday – Thursday (no work on the weekends)
- Print new wedding images for studio (this needs to be done in Q1)
- Revamp daily work schedule to maximize productivity
- Start writing handwritten thank you notes again!
