There are so many ways to be patriotic in the park – bust out some sparklers, wave a flag around, or just boost morale by taking some new photos to send to daddy while he’s on deployment. That’s exactly what the Bradow family did at the Great Bridge Lock Park in Chesapeake! They got all dressed up, and we were able to create some gorgeous new pictures for this sweet family! What Are Some of Your Families Hobbies
Hobbies- hiking, “kindness rock painting project” rock painting, exploring, outdoor adventures, playing guitar and singing together.
Zak- Has been skydiving! been in the navy for 5 years. Very musically inclined and talented.
Lily- Climbed to the top of bell rock in sedona, AZ with Zak. Danced for 16 years of my life (all genres). loves being a mom and wife.
Lucas- Was in the newspaper in Pensacola, Florida at the Gulf Breeze Zoo for a Halloween event when he was little. Also is an awesome gymnast! Loves legos and avengers.
Zoey- Danced her first recital to “Chitty chitty bang bang” and was beyond adorable on stage! Loves Frozen and enjoys singing and dancing SO much! Performer at heart.
Layla- Can sit up all by herself now and roll both ways. Eating big girl food now.
What is Your Perfect Saturday
Our perfect saturday would be waking up in the mountains in our tent. Enjoying a beautiful sunrise together. We would then find a new hiking trail and explore! Showing the kids all the beauty the world has to offer.
We love singing and playing guitar together. My husband will get out the guitar and play, I will join in and sing, and the kids dance around. We all get a kick out of enjoying music together. I love watching my kids eyes light up when they hear a song they love, they get so into the dancing. It is adorable and the best part is its something we all enjoy together. A big hit is “Let It Go” from frozen. I love when Zoey joins in and sings with us too. It is so great that we get to share our love of music with the kids. Layla even stops crying everytime I break out the guitar – puts her to sleep quickly when she is extra fussy. Lucas loves when daddy plays “Star Wars” music.
What are Some of Your Favorite Places
Our favorite place to visit is Sedona, Arizona. We enjoy hiking and the beautiful red rocks. There is a beautiful small town called Oak Creek right in the red rocks mountains. Small town diners, and local artists. My grandparents used to live their before my nana passed away. She was an outstanding artist. It is a beautiful reminder of her and I was so happy to show Zak this town. We can’t wait to take our kids there.
But our most favorite local place is Sushi Masa. The best all you can eat sushi around here 🙂 We are regulars there and it is always a perfect lunch date with all of us together there. The best part is the kids enjoy the sushi too! It has seemed to be a tradition for us here in VA to go there on days that Zak has a weekday off of work. We always look forward to that together.
