I was so stoked to photograph this great Gatsby themed wedding with Sean Holder Photography. I love working with other awesome photographers here in Hampton Roads, and Sean is someone whom I have admired for many years. The day that these two lovebirds got married, it was cloudy and gray. The skies were threatening rain all day, and it even started sprinkling a little bit at times. But that didn’t stop us from creating some amazing pictures. I love the roaring 20’s, it was a time of jazz, bootleg liquor, and amazing music (hello Louis Armstrong!). This black and gold themed wedding, with pops of red, was elegant and oh so much fun!

Great Gatsby Themed Wedding at First Lady of Suffolk

Have you ever just met someone and thought, “we could totally be best friends?” That’s exactly how it felt getting to know the bride and groom. The bride has a giant Italian family, so I definitely felt right at home with them! And the groom and his groomsmen were so laid back, and up for anything. Photographing this group was definitely a good time! And we haven’t even talked about the reception. After a gorgeous ceremony, and some stunning bride and groom portraits, everyone was definitely ready to break it down on the dance floor! I am so happy I was able to join these two and their families for such a special day.

To the new couple, we wish you nothing but joy as you embark on this new journey. Married life is an adventure and I know that you two will enjoy a lifetime of fun together! Cheers to the new Mr and Mrs!
