At the time, rain never seems like a good start to a wedding – especially if it’s supposed to be the perfect intimate Virginia Beach wedding.

And especially if you were planning on having your ceremony on the beach…

So when the weather turned super rainy and gray – Luke and Jenn adapted and changed their plans.

And (maybe not so secretly) Jenn was thrilled that the wedding ceremony took place in their house.

See, in the beginning, Jenn said she wanted to have the wedding at their house, but Luke wasn’t completely on board.

Fast forward to the wedding day, and they got their happily ever after – right in their own dining room!

Intimate Virginia Beach Wedding

Luke and Jenn got a bit of an awkward first introduction.

Eric and I were actually the ones to introduce them a few years ago at Christmastime.

But what Luke didn’t know was that he was walking into meeting not only Jenn, but also her daughter Delilah and Jenn’s ex (Delilah’s dad).

Whew!

That was definitely not an encounter for the faint of heart!

But they say that when it’s meant to be, it’s meant to be.

Luke and Jenn have been through a lot over the last few years, and it is so wonderful to see my brother happier than he has ever been.

I am so happy that these two found each other, and are finally getting their happily ever after.

One of the jokes between my brother and I is that he says he never knows what crazy things I’ll put wedding rings on.

So I knew that for his wedding, I wanted to do something a little outside of the box.

We incorporated Luke’s profession with the wrench and 10mm socket (which in the mechanic world is VERY elusive, but most needed!), and incorporated Jenn’s artistic side by using the paintbrush.

I love how it really sets off the vintage ring that was passed down from Jenn’s grandmother!
