Before we left for our honeymoon and flew to Hawaii (also known as paradise!), I knew that I wanted to do a photoshoot for Eric and I to document our time in this beautiful place. Last year we had an AMAZING time photographing in Honolulu and made quite a few friends on that island, but I was quite at a loss for how to find a photographer here in the big island. So I took to social media (Instagram to be exact) and searched for Kona photographers. Thus begins the story of how we got a couples session and did headshots in Hawaii!

Headshots in Hawaii

Social media is a powerful thing! When I typed in “Kona Photographer” so many posts came up, and they were all beautiful! However, I noticed that a lot of the photos that I was drawn to and “liked” were all taken by the same photographer. That’s when I first fell in love with Jamie Cadiente Photography, who is a local photographer living in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii. Her style is (surprise surprise), a lot like ours: light, airy, romantic… and with a definite tropical twist that we loved!!!

Once we started chatting about a session for Eric and I, Jamie mentioned that she needed some new headshots, and I realized that this was the perfect opportunity for us to work with a fellow photog, as well as create some amazing images! And let me just tell you, Hawaii is gorgeous, you really can’t take a bad photo here – especially when you’ve got a beautiful place like the Old Kona Airport, which has been turned into a recreational park for everyone to enjoy!

Jamie, thank you for hanging out with us for the photo shoot! We had so much fun, and I am in LOVE with the images you created for us!!! It was awesome getting to know you and learn about your story, and I can’t wait for the next time we get to hang out together!!!
