It’s finally here!!! And no, I’m not talking about Friday the 13th, I’m referring to the fact that it’s finally time for the beach house!!! I’m from a big family (two parents and 7 kids), and it’s hard to get everyone together. So we started the tradition of renting a beach house for a long weekend, all of us make sure to clear our schedules, we plan out all the meals so we don’t have to leave, and then we get together and just… relax.
This isn’t the most technically correct photo from the weekend, but it’s one of my favorites because it really embodies the feeling of the weekend. My kids are outside, playing in the sand, in their pajamas, before everyone really got up. There are really no rules for the weekend (other than don’t work and relax), so pretty much anything goes: eat when you’re hungry, play all day, and stay in your pj’s as long as possible 🙂
Another reason I’m really, Really, REALLY looking forward to this beach house vacation is that we are going to be doing family pictures!!! And that makes my little photographers heart SO happy!!! The only family picture I have of all of us is one of those studio ones (don’t get me started on all the things that are wrong with it!), so I’m really looking forward to taking some awesome beach photos for my family!!! But I can’t do it all myself, so I’m bringing on the awesome team from Best Face Forward to do hair and makeup for the ladies, and having Digital Reflections Photography come help take the pictures I won’t be able to capture (like the ones I’m going to be in). It’s gonna be epic and I can’t wait to share all the awesomeness from this weekend with you all! But until then, have a great weekend and enjoy your loved ones <3
