A Virginia Beach proposal was the best way for Jacob and Katie to get engaged.
And even more exciting – it was a surprise!
I know – I could barely contain my excitement!!!
Since we couldn’t let Katie in on the surprise, Jacob said to play it cool and wait for his cue.
He thought that Katie might be a little suspicious, so we should go through most of the session as usual.
And then, when I said “we were all finished”, then he would drop down on one knee and pop the question.

Virginia Beach Proposal
Jacob and Katie were visiting the beach, and he knew this would be the perfect time to propose!
Katie’s mom (who came with them to the session) was also in on the surprise.
As a mom myself, I can’t imagine how she kept such a wonderful secret.
Once Jacob finally popped the question – and Katie said yes – everyone couldn’t stop smiling.
The joy was definitely tangible, and I am so happy that I could be there to capture such a wonderful moment.
