Doing an engagement session is a lot of fun and a great idea (check out why {HERE} ), and when my couples decide to take it one step further and pick a theme (like this vintage engagement session), I get a little more excited than I probably should! Michelle and Clinton are two of the sweetest people I know, and the first time we sat down to talk about their wedding next year, I knew that I wanted to work with them to help make their day extra special!!! After going back and forth on a few locations, Michelle told me that they wanted to do their photos at the Pagoda Garden in Norfolk. This got me pretty pumped because I haven’t shot there in ages, and it’s such a beautiful location!
These two lovebirds definitely dressed the part, bringing their vintage engagement session to life through retro clothing and a rockin hairstyle! And, of course, no vintage look would be complete without a set of pearls!
The Pagoda Garden is situated right on the Norfolk waterfront, so it offers a lot of photography options. And even thought it has a lot of Japanese styled decor (including lots of bamboo!), you can see from these gorgeous images that the location is quite versatile!

One of my big things when it comes to doing photos is that I want my couples/families to have fun and really enjoy the shoot. Because it can be stressful getting everything organized for photos (trust me, I know!), so when we actually get out there, I want to make it fun and silly and something that you don’t have to dread doing! 
Michelle and Clinton, I love you guys to pieces and am super stoked for your wedding next year! We are going to have an amazing time and I am so lucky to be able to celebrate with you two as you pledge your lives together <3
