The holidays bring lots of good cheer, and it’s also a great excuse to create a romantic Christmas photo shoot for this newly married couple! And the bi-polar Virginia weather was cooperating with us that day, so we had a gorgeous afternoon to grab pictures at Stumpy Lake Natural Area. Raquel and Stuart are a long way from home (both originally from California), they met in college and have known each other for five years.

Romantic Christmas Photo Shoot

After joining the Navy last year, Stuart got sent here to Virginia to attend a school for his rate. He was lucky enough to have family in the area, so when Raquel came out, they decided to elope and get married! Eek! Their story is so romantic, it makes me little photographers heart happy that they have found love in one another.

Raquel and Stuart are not sure where they are going to be stationed next and since the scenery is so different here than it is in California, they wanted to do photos here in Virginia Beach to document their new journey as a married couple.

I love all of the awesome ideas that Raquel brought to the session to make it more personalized to them as a couple. From the big letter G to the fun of drinking hot chocolate in the park, we were able to create cute and fun photos that really represented these two!
