Since Kallissa and Colby are planning on having an amazing tropical destination wedding next year, they knew they wanted an oceanside engagement session to keep with the beachy theme. Y’all know I’m a beach girl at heart, so while the weather was still warm we headed to the beach to capture this awesome time in their lives!

Oceanside Engagement Session

How did you two meet?

We met at work while working at Hertz car rental. We worked at different locations and saw each other on occasion but when we did it was the best few seconds-minutes of our life.

When did you know he was “The One”?

I knew he was the one from the moment I saw him I said to myself “I just have to have him”. Colby knew I was the one shortly after when I had to go to his location to help a lady find a car during the snow storm. He made small talk and said anything just to try and have a conversation with me. Shortly after he messaged me.

What was the proposal like?

Colby proposed in Hawaii on June 25, 2016 with his mom’s ring on top of Koko Head. I knew it was coming because I found a ring box in his luggage and even knew the exact moment it would happen because he waited until the last day of our trip. It was still magical even knowing it was coming because I was excited to spend the rest of my life with him.

What are some of your favorite things to do together?

My favorite thing to do with his is watch Netflix and cuddle. His favorite thing is to have a conversation with me. We both like walks on the beach, going to the movies and anything that is outdoors such as exercising or hiking.

If you had to pick a word for your relationship, what would it be?

Patience – because we both get on each other’s nerves but still manage to remain head over heals in love. Patience is the virtue when it comes to love.

What Are Some Dreams or Goals for Your Marriage?

Things we want for our marriage are to be financially stable, have a large house and gorgeous children.
