This Mimosa Barn wedding for Katie and Josh was the picture perfect day!

And after being together for over a decade, this wedding was a long time coming.

And with colors of blush, burgundy and pops of gold – they chose the perfect color palette for a fall wedding.

Mimosa Barn Wedding on the Eastern Shore

Josh and Katie first met in high school.

The way Katie tells it, in highschool Brad (Josh’s younger brother) was the guy all the girls wanted.

But as soon as Katie saw a picture of Josh in the school yearbook – she told her best friend that he was going to be her boyfriend.

Their relationship blossomed and they soon knew they would be together forever.

Over the last 11 years, Josh and Katie have grown up together. They’ve navigated school, new jobs, friends, getting a place together, and learning how to navigate life together.

Katie’s eyes were watering as she walked down the aisle to marry the love of her life – and Josh was the same way. There were so many happy tears!

One part of the wedding decor that I really loved were the strategically placed flying pigs.

At first I thought it was a play on “when pigs fly” (because they had been together and were finally tying the knot).

But Josh told us that it had more to do with Katie’s collection.

The story goes that Katie found a cute little flying pig statue in TJ Maxx – she simply had to have it.

Then a month later, she found a matching flying piglet, and was officially hooked!

If you ask Katie if she likes pigs, she will scoff at you. She only likes flying pigs (of course) 😉
