Today we’re sharing this in home lifestyle session we did for the Brown family. Initially we were supposed to have an outdoor session, but winter weather can always be a little tricky. And when it turned out to be gray and rainy on the day of the session, we opted to move things inside and have more of an in home lifestyle session. I couldn’t be happier with how the images turned out! I really think that lifestyle photo sessions are such a special gift because (while it’s nice to get pretty photos), having someone come in and document your life will give you all those little memories you will cherish in years to come.

Get to know a little more about the Brown family in today’s home lifestyle session.

In Home Lifestyle Session

Tom enjoys building and shooting guns, reading books, a good Scotch, and playing guitar. I like to bake, garden, sew, and sit down – as a mom I don’t get to do that often! Our oldest son Adam is learning to cook and loves to watch cooking shows. He wants to learn archery and loves teaching himself new things. Jonathan is a history buff who likes telling jokes and taking naps. Henry likes to wrestle and play hide and seek.
Let’s see, fun facts… Tom and I have known each other since I was 12 and he was 14; we dated in college for one month before he proposed to me. He deployed immediately after that and we got married a few months after he returned. This June we’ll have been married for nine years. I make an amazing pound cake that won second place at the county fair in Rhode Island one year. I’m pretty sure that cake is one of the top five reasons Tom wanted to marry me. Tom was selected for Lieutenant Commander this past year and we are very proud of him for that. He is also a very good cook. The boys like to learn about history and science, build Legos, and play video games. They also love the trampoline.
Our perfect Saturday would be going to get breakfast together then going to the park or beach with the boys. No perfect day would be complete without Chick-fil-A for lunch and just hanging out together at home. Later, a date night for Tom and me at Byrd & Baldwin Brothers Steakhouse. I guess we’re a very food-centric family! Being in the military has made us into a very low-key, low-maintenance family. We don’t have to go do exciting things, we mostly enjoy just being together at home.
We also found out recently baby #4 is a little girl. The boys are so excited to have a sister. She is due three weeks after Tom gets home from deployment!
