Getting Ready for Graduation Photoshoot

Style Inspiration

What type of look is a vibe for you – hipster, preppy, athletic?

No matter which one you choose, it is worth taking the time to look through style magazines or search Pinterest to get ideas.

Other things to think about:

  • Colors – are there shades you absolutely LOVE (or even hate?)
  • Style – will we be going classy (suited up) or casual (tee shirt and shorts)
  • Statement Piece – is there an outfit that just feels like you?

Scheduling Appointments

Your photoshoot is a great excuse to get a little extra pampering in!

Whether it’s a new haircut, an updated styling, having makeup done, or painting the perfect mani… make sure that you schedule your appointments well in advance so that you have what you need to look camera ready.

On the fence about getting hair and makeup done?

If you aren’t sure about whether or not to get a little extra glam done before photos – I’m here to tell you that the answer is YES!

When you look great, you feel great.

And that will translate to the camera, and the stunning images we will create together.

Create 3 Looks

Once we have picked a location, it is time to choose outfits to wear *yay*

I recommend three complete looks (including shoes, accessories, etc).

During the session it would be a great idea to bring along your cap and gown so we can snag a few photos in that as well.

.

  1. PARENT PLEASER

This is the look that mom picked out for you. That crisp button up shirt and khakis, or formal gown.

We know – this wouldn’t necessarily be your first pick – but this is the outfit that they will proudly show off for years.

.

2. SENIORS CHOICE

What is your favorite outfit right now?!

Hard question, I know!

Let’s incorporate that signature statement necklace, kick-awesome pair of shoes, or neon colored jacket!

Don’t forget to include hats/scarves/jewelry/shoes to go with the look.

.

3. ACTIVITIES

Are you involved in the local anime club, or does the Drama department take up a lot of your time?

What do you want people to know about you, and how can we incorporate that into a photo?

This could look like playing with a musical instrument, bringing sports gear, paint palette and brushes, etc.

The options are as limitless as your imagination – these photos are just for you!
