When I started my business in 2009, I had NO IDEA what it would evolve into. I love telling the story of how I got my start as a “professional photographer”, because (knowing that I had dabbled in photography and worked Lifetouch Studios) my friend Amy asked me to take pictures at her wedding.

My initial reaction was, umm, what?

After telling her that I had no idea what I was doing when it came to photographing a wedding and Amy (shockingly) being cool with that, I agreed to take pictures for these two special people.
So, three weeks after having my daughter Mara, I packed my little Canon Rebel and went to go take pictures for Amy and Cody’s wedding.

Let me just say… that was a learning experience! But a good one! I was so honored that they believed in me enough to let me photograph the most important day of their lives, and I will always remember that’s where I got my “start”!

Thank you Amy and Cody for trusting me enough to photograph your wedding, and giving me the push to  really begin my photography business! Because once I did that wedding, everything kind of took off from there!

When business started picking up (and by picking up, I mean that I was finally booking at least one session a month 😉 ) I decided that I needed to create an online presence and get a logo. I was able to connect with Kim Sawyer, who designed my trademark logo that would become the face of Fresh Look Photography!

But that was 4 years ago.

And as with all things, nothing can stay the same forever.

So I was SUPER excited to start the process of rebranding the look and feel of Fresh Look Photography in January of this year! I’m officially making the change, and I have all the gear to make it happen! I’ve been working with the totally fab Tianna Yentzer, who has put up with all of my nit-picking and asking to have something re-do a thousand times (at least I’m sure she felt that way!).

I’m happy to say that after all this, I have a website that I am SO super stoked about!

I really feel that this “fresh look” truly represents my photography and I am so excited to be able to share this with you <3

So what do you think about the new look?!
