For those who want to skip all the wedding day drama, eloping on the beach might be the perfect solution, for Ashley and Mike is certainly was! These two travelled from the midwest with both of their families and enjoyed a week together at a huge beach house in Sandbridge.

Eloping on the Beach

Mike and Ashley live in Ohio, and both knew they wanted something different for their “big day.” When they got engaged they joked that they should just get married right away since it was going to happen anyway, but little did they know how serious the jest was!

It was a gorgeous June day, with blue skies and cottony white clouds. The ceremony was intimate, with only their families on the sand to witness the ceremony. Big weddings are wonderful, but there is something so special about having a small gathering of those you love, and there is always such a sense of joy. As vows were exchanged, more than a few people were wiping tears from their eyes as these two promised to spend their lives together.

Once the ceremony was over, everyone made their way back to the beach house for breakfast and mimosas (my kind of party!), and Ashley and Mike got the chance to hang out and be alone to get some pictures on the beach. But we had to work quickly because even though Mike was a good sport about it, no one is a match for the “hangry” monster! 😉
