If you think the best part about this Calypso Run Farm photo shoot was the location – think again!

Don’t get me wrong, the farm was absolutely beautiful.

Especially since we had all that gorgeous morning light!

And there were even horses in the pasture behind the barn.

But I think the Temple family and I can all agree that the best part of the session were the dogs!

I didn’t know it before, but the farm is a dog rescue as well, and at any time they have between 10 and 30 dogs running around the property.

Talk about a dog lovers dream!!!

Calypso Run Farm Photo Shoot

During the session, while we were walking around taking pictures, there was so much to explore!

Fences looking over green pastures were everywhere.

The horses were just waking up for the day, and starting to come out.

And everywhere, the soft, morning light was peeking over the tops of trees.

Then you add in this adorable family… it’s a recipe for success!!!

Last time we took pictures for the Temple family, it was in a completely different setting.

We were down at the Neon Arts District in Norfolk.

That is one of my favorite places to do sessions (so much gorgeous color!) – and these guys totally killed it.

But since the girls took horse-riding lessons at the farm over the summer, Cassandra thought this would be a beautiful place to do their session.

Especially since they wanted to show off their gorgeous restored truck!

Dean has lovingly restored this old Ford F-100, and transformed it into the beauty you see today!

He did everything himself, and uses the truck as his everyday vehicle.

That’s why he says he has to keep it running – so he can get to where he needs to go 🙂

I love spending time with you guys, and love seeing the awesome personalities both girls have!

Can’t wait to do it again next year!
