Virginia Zoo Engagement Session

Who could have know that this Virginia Zoo engagement session would start with a neighbor moving in?!

These days, couples meet their spouse in all sorts of ways.

And for Amanda and Chris, it was in the parking lot of their apartment complex when she was moving in.

Get to know these two lovebirds more in today’s blog!

I first met Chris when he attended one of my photography classes at Virginia MOCA.

He said that his girlfriend Amanda had gotten him the class, and he wanted to learn how to use his mirrorless camera.

Awesome!

Fast forward to July (when we had the ridiculous heat wave for a week), and we all got together to do a fun engagement session at the zoo.

First of all, it was cool because we could see the animals, but also, hanging out and getting to laugh and play was a blast too.

And if you don’t believe me – wait until you see the photos we did at the end of the session!

These two have had so much fun getting to love each other! From the moment the apartment complex lady said “you two should meet and get to know each other”, they’ve gone on adventures together, gotten their sweet fur baby Chai, and learned how to navigate life as an “us”.

Chris was so excited to pop the question in March 2019, and did the big reveal with a beautiful cake that said “will you marry me”.

And it was extra special because he did it with the help of May’s Parlor, where Amanda worked as a baker.
