In my life, I have had the opportunity to do a bit of travel photography. We’ve been to amazing places like Italy, Jamaica, England, and most recently, Hawaii.

But anyone who travels will tell you, it just whets your appetite to go to even MORE cool locations!

Recently I’ve decided that I want to do more travel photography, so I’m looking for my business to take me there (gotta love writing off those plane tickets at the end of the year!).

With that being said, here are 3 destinations I’m dreaming of!

Travel Photography – Good for the Soul

travel photography Mexico

There are so many awesome locations in Mexico you could visit – hello Cancun!

That’s why I couldn’t just narrow this awesome place down to just one location.

For me, I am VERY drawn to all of the bright, vibrant colors that can be found here.

Coupled with the amazing ethnic cuisine and all of the breathtaking sights…. it’s pretty much a win in my book!

I’m not really a nature lover (eewww nature, get it off of me!), but dang!

It would be amazing to do some snorkeling and see the Myan ruins.

Of course, this is all done around whatever wedding I go to photograph.

Yup, I’m putting it out in the universe that I want to photograph a wedding in Mexico!

travel photographyLake Tahoe, CA

Located along the border of California and Nevada, Lake Tahoe offers so many different options!

Hiking, swimming, skiing, or boating… there is something to please everyone!

The clear blue water is surrounded by the majestic Sierra Nevada. There are awe-inspiring vistas, stately groves of pine trees, and ridiculously gorgeous sunsets.

Lake Tahoe would be the perfect location for an intimate wooded wedding ceremony!

Our family has been here a few times, because we have relatives in California.

However, now that I’m a photographer, I see everything with a different eye.

Definitely get excited thinking about all the different photo opportunities this location would offer for travel photography!

I mean, just imagine a beautiful bride and her honey with that backdrop!!!

destinations to dream ofGreece

I’m a bit of a history nerd, so the idea of going to Greece (especially for work!) makes my little photographers heart happy!

There are always festivals happening and pilgrimages being made. Tie that into treks to archaeological sites and monuments from the old world… history for days!

In addition to all of the history in and around the city, Greece is most well known for it’s amazing gastronomy (with the first cookbook being written in this country around 330 BC).

With all the fresh flavors, their amazing olive oil and the simplicity of the Greek dishes, I know I could visit Greece and leave happy.

And definitely a few pounds heavier.

Now that you know my top 3 travel photography destinations, where would you go if given the opportunity?!
