This Chix Beach sunset session had the most gorgeous colors when we did this photoshoot!
Now if I’m being honest, this session was done during that week where we had the heat-pocalypse.
I mean, when we started the session it was 96°. By the time we finished, it had only “cooled off” to 89°…
But these guys were troopers and we had so much fun together.
The Jay and his wife Dana were one of those couples who you felt like you had known forever.
They have two gorgeous kids, but during the session I kept wanting to say three kids… and at one point I did.
Dana told me at that point that she had actually been pregnant with triplets, and they lost one of the babies 16 days after he had been born.
But you could definitely feel that he was there with us during the session. That was such a special moment I was able to share with the family!

Chix Beach Sunset Session
A little about our family: Dana and I were married in 2000, and our triplet were born April 2, 2005.
They were delivered 10 weeks premature and spent 7 weeks on breathing machines in the NICU.
Our son Benjamin developed leaks in his lungs and passed away 16 days after he was born. Jacob and Olivia has flourished in their lives despite the early medical issues in the early stages.

We’ve always live by doing activities as a family, no matter the event – just enjoying family time.
We appreciate simple times, such as making dinner and sitting on our back patio.
We always set aside time in the summer for a vacation, weather a beach or just a few long weekend trips to amusement parks or resorts in Ohio.
It allows us to have a Q and A session with the kids and catch up with each other.
The kids are active in extracurricular events, Jacob plays football, soccer and trombone in the concert band.
Olivia plays volleyball, plays clarinet in the concert band and is a member of the Color guard for the high school marching band.
They are always happy to spend time with friends.
Most importantly, they’ve been able to maintain a 4.0 GPA.

Now that the kids are older, a perfect weekend would include going to an Ohio State football game.
Everyone can enjoy the pregame tailgate area, and pageantry involved in the college campus setting on game day.
Usually we end up going out to dinner at a new restaurant, and visiting our cousins in Columbus.
When we return home, having them start homework and clean their room to be ready to start a new week of school.
