Cat Parents Engagement Session

Animal lovers unite! Even if you’re more of a dog person, this engagement session featuring two super cute cat parents will definitely make you smile.

Lydia and Stephen are both self-proclaimed introverts, and fell in love over what started as a super awkward first date.

And bonus – Lydia is my baby sister!

I feel like it’s my sisterly duty to share some dirt about her, but figure I’ll save that for the wedding day 😉

How did you two meet?

We met on the online dating app Plenty of Fish

What did you do on your first date?

We went out to eat at Red Robin (yum!) and watched the Winter Olympics that was playing on TV by our table when there was a lull in conversation, which there was a lot of.

What are some of your favorite things to do together?

Introducing each other to our favorite tv shows and movies, hating people, exploring, and traveling.

When did you know he was the one?

When he didn’t think less of me for my mental issues, helping me overcome them and accepting them as part of me.

Tell us your proposal story?

He took me out to eat at Plaza Azteca, which is our favorite restaurant. Stephen was acting very nervous, which I thought was because he was only in town for a few days. After dinner, we went to the beach where we had our first kiss but by the time we got there it was already dusk. We walked along the shore, finding ghost crabbies and trying to see any star constellations. When we had gotten back to the street, he proposed under the streetlamp saying that he never wanted to live without me and that I would make him the happiest man on earth if I married him.
