I’ve said it before (and I’m sure I’ll say it again), I’m not that into nature unless it’s sand and saltwater. Nothing against anyone who does, but the great outdoors and I just don’t seem to get along that well. When Kimberly and Daniel announced that they were going to be doing an Aspen summer wedding in Colorado, I was at once excited and terrified!

I mean, nature?! Eewww! (kidding)

But once plans were in place, I was over the moon excited to get the chance to go to Aspen (a place I haven’t had the pleasure of visiting yet) and see these two lovebirds tie the knot!

Aspen Summer Wedding

Kimberly’s mom used to own a boutique clothing store, and decided that she wanted to make her daughter’s wedding dress. No one knew what it was going to look like, and we were all held in suspense until the wedding day when she revealed the gorgeous lace and tulle gown. It was absolutely stunning!!! Definitely one of a kind, and all the more beautiful because of the love that went into every stitch her mother made.

On the day of the actual wedding, the sky was moody and dark. It had been raining off and on all day, and the forecast wasn’t looking too promising for an outdoor wedding. However, the bride and groom made the decision that since family and friends had made the trek to the top of the mountain, they were going to have a memorable wedding and get married outside on the top of the mountain (at something like 10,000 feet elevation!).

Just one more thing to love about Kimberly: her fun, spunky personality!wedding prayer kiss the bride I now pronounce you man and wife summer wedding in Aspen kiss after the wedding new Mr and Mrs

Needless to say, Kimberly and Daniels wedding will long be remembered by those that attended. Not only for it’s unique location, but also for the cold, driving rain that pelted everyone during the ceremony. We were all wrapped in blankets and holding umbrellas trying to shield ourselves from as much of the storm as we could. At one point, Kimberly got so cold she slipped her hands into the pockets of Daniel’s jacket pockets, it was adorable!

It was so much fun getting to spend time with these two lovebirds and help celebrate such an amazing time in their lives! We had a great time traveling for this Aspen summer wedding, and couldn’t have been happier for the new Mr and Mrs!
