May 2018 Goals | Personal & Professional

I realize that it’s May 9th – we are currently 1/3 of the way through the month…. So why am I just now writing down my May 2018 goals?

It’s because I still want to set my intentions for this month – even if I’m a bit late.

With May comes wedding season in full swing, and that means LOTS of stuff on the schedule.

Between all the weddings we’ve got scheduled, the last full month of school for the kids, classes we’re teaching, and baseball schedules… it’s a bit cray cray around here!

I realized that my intention for May is to be productive.

As a small business owner, it’s very easy to stay busy.
There’s always something else to do!
But it’s much harder to translate that busyness into completed tasks.

So how does that help me focus on my May 2018 Goals?

Instead of choosing different personal/professional goals, I’m going to spend my energy on things that will help me overall.

What does that look like?

  • Keeping my working areas clean and clear of clutter (bye bye receipts that need to be filed!)
  • Setting specific working times and not allowing any distractions (especially social media)
  • Evaluating what needs to be done, and focusing only on those tasks that will propel my business forward

This is just a start, but I feel very optimistic about rocking and rolling this month!
