Jennifer and Kevin initially came to talk to me about learning how to improve their camera skills, so we made a date to get together so I could help them brush up on their technical know-how and get out and practice a bit. Little did Jennifer know that Kevin had privately messaged me to let me know that he wanted to fit in a surprise proposal and pop the all important question to her while we were doing the practice shoot! Eek!!!
Can I just say that my little girly heart definitely skipped a beat for her!
I was all “ohmygoshIcan’tbelieveit’shappening,that’ssoexciting!!!”
And Kevin had to be thinking, “Alright crazy, calm down” 😉
So the lesson went smoothly, and then we moved over to Mount Trashmore to do some practice shooting. I was a bit nervous as to how I would parlay the photo shoot and get Kevin into a position where he could be down on one knee without making it completely obvious! But it all worked out in the end, and Jennifer was completely surprised and taken aback when he pulled out the ring and asked her to marry him. She said yes (of course!), and then I was able to take a few more pictures of them basking in the love they had for each other.
Jennifer and Kevin, I am so excited that you are now engaged! Congratulations you two!!! Thank you for making me a part of such a special event, and I am SOOOO looking forward to photographing your wedding next year <3
