What little girl doesn’t grow up dreaming about dressing up in her momma’s pearls and lace?!
For me, there is something so elegant and sophisticated about putting pearls and lace together.
When Shona brought her little princess in to be photographed in the studio, it was awesome to see all the girly things she brought to use!

When we originally talked, Shona had initially wanted to have Olivia’s 3 month session outdoors.
We had the location and date all picked out and were ready to go.
But the day of the shoot came, and it was rainy.
No big deal, it just meant that we had to reschedule… however on the day we were supposed to reschedule for, we wake up and the weather was once again questionable.
We decided to change gears and do a studio session (my first one in the new space, hooray!).

I’ll admit it – I’m a sucker for baby toes!
Pearls and Lace – 3 Month Session
Photographing babies is a funny thing.
Sometimes they are all about it and will cooperate, not cry.
You can come away from the session with pretty amazing images!
Sometimes, however, the babies have different ideas about what they want to do.
It means you just have to work a little harder to get those pictures you’re after.
Olivia did really well during her session.
Towards the end though, you could tell that she had enough and wanted a nap (which doesn’t sound too bad to me either!).

One of the cutest things about babies?! All their adorable little rolls!
And this was the moment that little miss Olivia decided that she had enough picture taking for the day!
