Summertime can be a tricky time to plan a photo shoot. The weather tends to be super unpredictable (especially now that we are in hurricane season), and often very hot/humid. However, things turned out so gorgeous at this First Landing engagement session!

Susan and David were troopers, despite bugs and hot temperatures.

First Landing Engagement Session

How you two meet?

David was my best friends roommate, so we had already been friends. She encouraged us to talk or go to a movie together when we both became single, of course I was too nervous. I promised her we could go on a double date after her husband returned from deployment in a few months. A few weeks after that promise, we started texting more frequently, split a pizza and a bottle of wine and have been inseparable since.

When did you know he was the one?

When we had our first kiss. We both knew we were done for.

What was the proposal like?

Hysterical. His goal was to catch me completely off guard and he did while we packing boxes to move into our house. He said, “what about this box?” Making me think I had forgotten one.

What are some of your favorite things to do together?

Any kind of quality time. Date nights, relax at home or on the beach.

If you had to pick a word for your relationship, what would it be?

Dynamic/compassionate

What are three dreams/goals for your marriage?

Show Mason how amazing love can be
Skydive together as our “retired couple’s hobby”
Continue to build and strengthen our relationship everyday.
