Brittaney and David contacted me to do their engagement photos, and we were lucky to have David’s son join us too.
We had a blast running around and exploring Lake Lawson.
There may or may not have been some pretend jumping off the dock

Virginia Beach Engagement Photos
How Did You Meet?
David and I met when the Navy transferred me to the command he was at.
It was called FRCMA Norfolk, and that was in 2016.
Our first official date was at Fuddruckers (back when they were still around!).
After a few times of him inviting me to parties and stuff, I finally said yes.
Turns out, this was to a party for the Floyd / Mayweather fight – and that’s where we shared our first kiss!
A few days later, we went to dinner at Fuddruckers and have been pretty much inseparable ever since.

One of the things we love best is to sit at home and relax together.
Between both of us working long hours and deployment schedules, we take advantage of the time we get to spend at home.
David and I find a way to make any time we are together special.
Even when he is just playing video games with his son, I will hang out in the room and read or watch Netflix.

A word I’d use to describe us is “fun”, especially because we are pretty much always laughing.

Tell Us About the Proposal
If we are being honest, I can’t pinpoint an exact moment of when I knew David was the one.
But I knew it was something serious when we were apart for a short time, and I just couldn’t see my future without him.
He’s my best friend and couldn’t see being with anyone else.
When it comes to our proposal story – it’s not quite what you would call normal.
I was actually the one who proposed to David on February 22, 2020 before he left for deployment.
After lots of thought on how to do it, I slipped the ring on David’s finger while he was sleeping.
He woke up and was like “what the hell is this?!” – and that’s when I asked him.
Once the shock had worn off, he spent the next 6 months planning to propose to me.
David was a smart man, because he enlisted the help of my mom!
On August 22, 2020 – surrounded by my family – David proposed to me.
I had no idea, and it was such a wonderful surprise!

We have so many dreams or goals for our marriage!
David and I want to have a child, and make our family grow.
Another goal of ours is to start investing in some properties.
And – much like every other couple – we want to have a long, happy marriage.

There is so much I am looking forward to about the wedding, but most especially the reception!
David and I love to go dancing, so the reception should be a lot of fun.
I can see us all dancing and having an awesome time with family and friends.
