Hi there friends, can you believe it’s already time for our November 2025 goals?!

This year feels like it sprinted by in flip-flops and a windbreaker. 🍂

Here in Virginia Beach, the mornings are getting crisp, the tourists have packed up their boogie boards, and the golden-hour light is chef’s kiss.

It’s the perfect time to slow down a bit, reflect, and set some attainable goals—both personal and professional—that make life feel full (not frantic).

Because let’s be real… this season should be about cozy sweaters, hot coffee, and making space for the good stuff—not running ourselves ragged.

Before I break out all the Christmas decor, check out the things I’m going to be up to in November.

November 2025 Goals

Personal Goals

  • Embrace “Cozy Beach” Mode

Just because the temps are dropping doesn’t mean I’m ready to hibernate. This month, I’m creating a new ritual: one “beach + cocoa” Sunday. Picture it—early morning stroll on the Virginia Beach boardwalk, cozy blanket, steaming mug of cocoa (or maybe a pumpkin spice latte if I’m feeling extra), and a few quiet minutes journaling before the day kicks off.
    Small ritual, big reset. ✨

  • Family Connect-Up with Mara + Eric

November’s about gratitude, and at the top of my list? My people. Between shoots and business life, it’s easy to miss the everyday moments—so this month I’m scheduling two intentional family nights:

    • One game night (bring it, Uno champions).

    • One “memory lane” night—digging out old photo albums and laughing over questionable hair choices from the 2000s.

Because I spend my days capturing other people’s memories, but ours deserve a spotlight too. ❤️

  • Mind + Body Refresh

After a jam-packed fall season, I’m craving a little more calm.
My plan: three low-impact workouts each week (walks by the ocean, gentle yoga, or maybe a fun dance session in the living room—no judgment). And a strict 9:30 p.m. phone cutoff.
Because the endless scroll doesn’t spark joy, but sleep definitely does.

  • Sip Local, Smile Local

Virginia Beach has no shortage of cozy coffee spots, and I’m challenging myself to find one new favorite this month.
The plan is to grab a latte, bring a notebook, and spend an hour people-watching or dreaming up my next big idea.
If you’ve got a local rec—drop it in the comments! ☕💕

November 2025 Goals

Professional Goals

  • Launch Christmas Mini Sessions! 🎄

It’s the most wonderful (and wonderfully busy!) time of year—Christmas Mini Sessions are coming, and I’m so excited to roll them out later this week! These quick, joy-filled sessions are perfect for families, couples, or anyone who wants festive photos without the stress.

Think cozy setups with rich red and green colors, twinkle lights, and a few candy canes thrown in for good measure.

My goal this week: finalize the setup, prep sneak-peek images, and open bookings by the weekend. (Because let’s be honest… holiday cards don’t print themselves!)

  • Finish My Headshot Prep Guide

It’s time to finally check this one off the list! I’ve been working on a downloadable Headshot Prep Guide—a stylish, easy-to-follow PDF that helps clients know exactly what to wear, bring, and expect during their session. My mission: to make the entire experience fun and effortless.
Goal: Have it wrapped and ready by Thanksgiving week.

  • Film One Behind-the-Scenes Reel

WHether you love it or not, short-form video content is king right now (ugh, I know). In this month of November, I am going to be intentional and challenge myself to have fun with it!

I’ll record a behind-the-scenes reel of a branding session—showing the “before,” “during,” and rockstar after moment.

Goal: Post it and hit 200+ views. (Manifesting those algorithms, baby!)

  • Start Goal-Setting for 2026 ✨

As the year winds down, I’m carving out time to dream big and plan smart for 2026. November is my pre-game month for reflection—looking back on what worked, what didn’t, and where I want Fresh Look Photography to shine next year.

The goal is to do a little vision-mapping for my business and personal life. What new experiences do I want to create for clients? What boundaries need tightening? What big, scary, amazing things do I want to say “yes” to in the new year?

By the end of the month, I’ll have a few key words for 2026 and a roadmap that feels inspiring instead of overwhelming. Bring on the new year!

🍁 Why November Feels Just Right

There’s something special about the start of the holiday season in Virginia Beach—the sun sets earlier, the air feels crisp, and everything slows down just enough to catch your breath. It’s the perfect reminder that small, intentional steps can make a big impact.

So here’s to a November filled with creativity, cozy vibes, and connection—both behind and in front of the camera.

Your Turn!

What goals are you working toward this month? Personal, professional, or just-for-fun—drop them in the comments so we can cheer each other on!
Bonus points if you share your favorite local coffee shop (because you know I’ll check it out).

Until next time—stay joyful, stay curious, and stay you.

xoxo, Judith
