As a Virginia Beach family photographer, I love shooting at familiar coastal gems like the old Lynnhaven Pier.
The texture of the old pier, sand dunes, and the way the light bounces off the water create the perfect setting for fabulous portraits.
And the best part? Everyone is guaranteed to have a blast while we’re at it.
Their teenage son brought such great energy (and a few epic poses).
I loved watching the laughter unfold between him and his parents.
There was so much love!
The kind that you can see in the way dad pulled everyone in close, in mom’s glowing smile, and in the spontaneous giggles shared over jokes.
By the end of the session, everyone was barefoot in the water and soaking up the joy of just being together.
For me, this is what family photos are all about.
