Those are great points Gurn! The old adage “you get what you pay for” is definitely applicable for photographers! And while it’s true that everyone had a budget, that doesn’t mean that everyone is our ideal client.

You won’t get $5000 images and customer experience from a $500 photographer who’s been in business for 3 months. If you choose a less experienced/expensive photographer, recognize there will likely be a trade-off in terms of the end product. Everyone has a budget – but you don’t get Nordstorm’s product at Walmart prices.

Second, realize the actual photography is only one piece of the puzzle. Image review, culling, and editing as well as packaging and delivery all require time, talent, and a process and mechanism to accomplish. Talented professional photographers command higher fees because they can deliver better and more consistent images that capture the magic of your special day.
