proud of the snowmanI’m a big believer in getting people together to hang out and get to know each other better, especially when it comes to my photographic community. I want to see this wonderful group of photographers here in Hampton Roads building each other up, instead of tearing each other down. And I really believe that we won’t see a change in the industry until we stop the cattiness and learn to be nice! That’s why I occasionally host photography get togethers: headshot swaps, free workshops, and (most recently) snow headshots. snow headshots mother and daughter

Snow Headshots

Let me clarify and say that anyone who knows me, knows that I’m definitely a warm weather person! I do NOT like being cold, and would much rather be too hot than too cold (plus the clothes are way cuter in the summer time!). But when we were being pelted by ridiculous amounts of snow here in Virginia Beach, everyone was going a little stir crazy, so I decided to open up my home and do snow headshots for all the gorgeous ladies who came over. I think it was cool to offer pictures in the snow because it made for a different background than we would normally have here in the area. Plus, who really has pro pictures done of themselves in the snow?! smiling in the snow photos in the snow

Between the delicious snacks that were shared (I even made cookies!), hot chocolate to warm our hands after coming in from the snow, and the pleasant company, it made for an awesome break from the dreary weather and gave us all something to bond over. Ladies, thank you for braving the icy roads and coming over and sharing a fun afternoon with all of us! photographer in the snow snow pictures
